Apprentice Trainer Program
Are you wondering how to become a dog trainer? Maybe you’re a new trainer looking to enhance your education and experience?
Our apprentice program is a comprehensive 5 month program that gives new or aspiring dog trainers a strong foundation in dog training as a career.
Our program provides apprentices with both extensive learning theory as well as hands on experience with clients and their dogs.
What we cover:
Learning theory
Socialization & puppy raising
Teaching behaviours
Equipment & pressure
Client relations (screening, intake, coaching etc)
Play, health, husbandry
Formulating a training plan
Practical Learning (shadowing lessons with professional trainers)
Supervised Training (BNT, private sessions)
Quizzes and homework assignments in each unit
Final exam
Those who complete the program may be offered an opportunity to do a BNT as part of their application for a full time trainer position with WWMO
cost: $5000 plus HST

3 month online program- similar to our apprenticeship without the shadowing and hands on learning.
