Welcome to Walk With Me Ottawa (“we,” “us,” “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website www.walkwithmeottawa.com (“Site”) and our dog training, walking, boarding, and online course services (collectively, the “Services”).
By accessing our Site or using our Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Site or Services.
1. Services
Walk With Me Ottawa provides professional dog training, walking, and boarding services in Ottawa, Ontario, as well as an online training course and group classes.
Each service may have its own contract, policies, and pricing details which are described on our website or provided to you directly.
2. Bookings, Payments & Refunds
Group Classes
Group classes can be purchased directly through our website using Squarespace Payments (powered by Stripe). Payment is due at the time of registration to secure your spot.
Private Training, Walking & Boarding
All private training, day school, walking, and boarding services are billed via QuickBooks. Invoices will be emailed to you and can be paid using the available payment methods listed on your invoice.
Refunds & Cancellations
Refunds, rescheduling, and cancellations are subject to the terms outlined in your signed service contract. These policies take precedence over any general statements on this website. Please review your agreement carefully before booking.
3. Online Course Access
Our online course is provided for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not share, copy, or distribute course materials without written permission from Walk With Me Ottawa.
We reserve the right to revoke access if materials are misused, shared publicly, or used in a way that violates these Terms.
4. Client Responsibilities
By using our Services, you confirm that:
You are the legal owner or authorized handler of the dog(s) involved.
Your dog is in good health and up to date on required vaccinations, unless otherwise disclosed.
You understand that results vary depending on the individual dog and level of owner participation.
You accept full responsibility for your dog’s behaviour and well-being during and after Services.
5. Limitation of Liability
While we take every reasonable precaution for safety, participation in dog training, walking, boarding, or related activities is at your own risk.
Walk With Me Ottawa, its employees, and contractors are not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage to persons, pets, or property arising from participation in our Services.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable Ontario or Canadian law.
6. Testimonials, Photos & Media
By engaging our Services, you grant Walk With Me Ottawa permission to use photos, videos, and testimonials featuring your dog for marketing and promotional purposes (including on our website and social media), unless you notify us in writing that you do not consent.
Personal client information such as addresses, payment details, or contact information will never be shared publicly.
7. Privacy & Data Collection
We collect personal information you voluntarily provide, such as your name, contact details, and dog information, when you fill out forms, make payments, or inquire about Services.
This data is used solely for communication, booking, and service delivery purposes.
We use Squarespace and Stripe for group class payments, and QuickBooks for invoicing and billing. Each provider has its own secure privacy and payment policies.

8. Intellectual Property
All text, images, graphics, videos, logos, and course materials on this Site are the property of Walk With Me Ottawa and may not be reproduced or distributed without written permission.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or discontinue Services at our discretion, including in cases of unsafe behaviour, non-payment, or violation of these Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein.
Any disputes will be handled in the courts of Ottawa, Ontario.
11. Updates to These Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of our Site or Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
